The Nurture Programme – Infant Health and Wellbeing is a recently launched programme of work designed to improve the information and professional supports that the Health Service Executive (HSE) and its related agencies provide to parents during pregnancy and during the first three years of their baby’s life.

The Drugs and Alcohol Working Group of Kerry CYPSC launched the ‘THINK About Alcohol’ booklet on the 28th September 2015. The booklet provides information for young people and their parents on alcohol and issues relating to alcohol use in order to help them to discuss alcohol openly and honestly.
Healthy Food for All (HFfA) is an all-island charity addressing food poverty by promoting access, availability and affordability of healthy food for low-income groups. Food poverty is defined as the “inability to access a nutritionally adequate diet and the related impacts on health, culture and social participation.”
The Healthy Food for All National Conference is being held on 15 April 2015 at the College of Anaesthetists of Ireland, Dublin. This conference is for those with an interest in shaping policy responses to food poverty among children and young people in Ireland.

The Area Based Childhood (ABC) Programme is a cross-departmental initiative announced in the Programme for Government. The ABC programme targets investment in evidence-informed interventions to improve the long-term outcomes for children and families living in areas of disadvantage.
