The work of the CYPSC is carried out across five subgroups that are guided by the national outcomes and aims outlined in Better Outcomes Brighter Futures.
The subgroups are chaired by a member of the CYPSC Committee to allow for two-way feedback from the CYPSC committee to each subgroup.
Laois/Offaly Children and Young People's Services Committee established four subgroups to-date:
- Active & Healthy
- Learning & Development
- Prevention, Partnership and Family Support
- Youth Participation
- Transitions (Pending)
- Transformational Goals (Pending)
Aligned to each subgroup are a number of working groups. These groups have emerged to respond to key topic areas for development in Laois Offaly over the lifetime of the 2021-2023 CYPP which could not be realised within the broad parameters of each subgroup and require specialist focus.
