We DONT WANT THIS
Victim, Parent , Instigator & Sharer Impact
The North Central Child and Family Support Network have been involved in a project over the past year looking at the concerning incidents of orchestrated fights amongst secondary school aged children and the recording and sharing of this footage. Network members had expressed concern about the rising number of incidents of this nature in the county.
The outcome of this project has been the production of four short films looking at the impact of these incidents on all those involved as well as the impact of filming and sharing. The films will be a useful tool to support schools and youth services to create awareness amongst both the student body and parents of the impact of these incidents.

The Tusla Children First Information and Advice Service has developed a new video, “Understanding the Post-referral Process”, hosted on the Tusla website. The video is designed to help organisations, reporters and mandated persons, and members of the public better understand what happens when a report is received by Tusla-Child and Family Agency.
The eight-minute video, narrated by Tusla Chief Social Worker Ger Brophy , takes the viewer through the different stages in an assessment and explains the different response pathways.
