Donegal CYPSC Launched 'Deirdre's Story', a Domestic Abuse training resource video for Trauma Informed Practice, on 19th September 2022.
This project, funded by Dept. Children Equality Disability Integration & Youth is the work of the Domestic Abuse working group of Donegal CYPSC.
This working group includes representation from An Garda Siochana, Donegal Domestic Violence Services, HSE Social Inclusion, Letterkenny Women's Centre and Donegal CYPSC.
Previously,
- 2019: Donegal CYPSC in collaboration with Donegal Garda Siochana and the Multiple Adverse Childhood Experiences project ran a very successful Conference on Coercive Control Dec 2019. This included shared learning with colleagues from the PSNI
- 2020/2021: The Coercive Control Conference was followed by training events in Coercive Control Awareness in 2020 / 2021
- 2022: A Domestic Abuse Resource Pack for front line staff was launched in March 2022
- 2022: A video to support the use of the Domestic Abuse Resource pack is available from September.
