Letterkenny Young Carers' Group are holding a Workshop for Key Stakeholders on Wednesday 20th April 2016 in County Donegal.
Colma Nic Lughadha, National Co-ordinator for Children and Young People’s Services Committees, will open the event.
The event will take place in the Mount Errigal Hotel, Letterkenny from 9.30am to 2.00pm with tea on arrival and lunch from 1.00pm to 2.00pm.
This Workshop will seek to:
- Explore current developments in the Young Carers’ Plan for Donegal
- Raise awareness of, identify and consider responses to, Young Carers’ involvement with organisations
- Develop a consensus on actions to promote Young Carers
- Identify next steps for organisations to include / consider Young Carers when planning and in service delivery.
Workshop participants will be encouraged to think about how they can pay attention to and notice the needs of young carers in their daily practice. They will consider how to respond to the needs of young carers and how to connect them into everday services available across the county.
