Kildare Children and Young People's Services Committee launched their new three year Children and Young People's Plan (CYPP) on the 20th May 2015. The aim of the CYPP is to improve the quality of life for children, young people and families in county Kildare.

The plan was formally launched by members of the Kildare County Panel of Comhairle na nÓg, who spoke about the work of Comhairle na nÓg and the importance of the voice of young people being heard by adults who plan and provide support services.

Patricia Finlay, Chairperson for Kildare CYPSC stated that the plan builds on the positive inter-agency work that is already happening in Co. Kildare, while outlining areas that require further attention.

Kildare CYPSC aim to use the plan as a tool to make the case for additional funding to be allocated to the county, as well as focussing on getting the best from the resources already available by working together more effectively in the planning and provision of support services.

  3. Domestic Violence
  4. Early School Leaving
  5. Family Support
