Donegal CYPSC Disability Inclusion Working Group are running two Disability Inclusion Workshops for staff and volunteers working in a range of local services.
These practical workshops will take place on two consecutive days due to local demand and will be facilitated by Alice Griffin Chief Executive Officer at the Disability Equality Specialist Support Agency (DESSA).
When:
27th February & 28th February 2020, 9.30am to 4.00pm
Where:
Conference Room, Tusla Building, Scally Place, Justice Walsh Road, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.
Who:
The workshops are designed for staff and volunteers working in Statutory and Community and Voluntary sector services.
What:
The workshops will be very practical and include advice and tools to support development of Communication and Consultation skills:
- Good Practice in ensuring your organisation is Communication Accessible. This will support staff to be confident and skilled in responding to different communication requirements and needs.
- Exploring creative inclusive consultation strategies to ensure that children and young people with disabilities are enabled to participate and have their voice heard.
