Blueprint for the development of CYPSC

A 'Blueprint for the development of Children and Young People's Services Committees' has been developed by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs (DCYA) and is now available for consultation.

The Blueprint aims to chart the development of CYPSC operationally and strategically over the next number of years within the broader context of Better Outcomes, Brighter Futures: The National Policy Framework for Children and Young People 2014 - 2020.

Developed by DCYA with a Task Group established in September 2014 the Blueprint has also been informed by recent organisational and policy developments such as significant developments in local government reform, the establishment of Tusla – the Child and Family Agency and the implementation of Better Outcomes, Brighter Futures.

The report sets out the development of CYPSC with regard to organisational and policy developments to ensure co-ordinated, comprehensive, evidence informed and outcomes-focused policy, planning and provision of services for children and young people.
