Providing easily accessible information for parents, the Wexford Parents Hub is now on-line, ready to support parents and families in their parenting role.

All parents need some information and support at different times.  For this reason Wexford CYPSC is supporting its partners to provide                        Wexford Parents Hub, a “one stop shop” for parents, providing easily accessible information on forth-coming talks, supports and parenting programmes available in County Wexford.

Wexford Parents Hub was officially launched in October 2019 by Minister of State Paul Kehoe at a well attended event in Enniscorthy.  He was joined by Jim Gibson, Chief Operations Officer, Tusla Child and Family Agency, Suzanne Connolly, Chief Executive Officer, Barnardos and Vincent Daly Chairperson of Wexford CYPSC.  The M.C. for the event was Tony Kennedy, Senior Manager for Prevention, Partnership and Family Support for Tusla in Waterford and Wexford.  Local parent and family support initiatives were also showcased at the event.

The Hub was initiated with a  CYPSC Seed Grant from the Depratment of Children and Youth Affairs via Wexford CYPSC and is being led by Barnardos with inter-agency support.  Currently there are two part-time workers from Barnardos and from Tusla supporting the development of the Hub.  This virtual Hub was created in response to parenting support gaps that were highlighted in the Wexford Children and Young People's Plan.  The ultimate aim of providing this Hub is to support parents by bridging any parenting gaps in Wexford county; providing parents with easy access to parenting supports.

Find out more by visiting the Hub on the Wexford CYPSC website.  It also has a dedicated phone line (053) 923 6343, email wexfordparentshub@barnardos.ie and Facebook page.
