Clare CYPSC launched its Facebook community consultation survey recently as part of an interactive road show to ask what matters to young people.

Utilising the Facebook marketing tools available, Facebook users with a County Clare address were sent a survey post from Clare CYPSC offering the opportunity to submit their views.

This social media survey has proven to be a great success with over 800 County Clare residents completing the online survey.

CYPSC Clare were fortunate to have a wonderful prize of a Samsung Galaxy Tablet sponsored by Ennis Electrical Expert. Anyone who submitted the survey and liked the CYPSC Clare Facebook page were automatically entered into the prize draw.

Clare CYPSC took the survey tool on the road to the youth council, Comhairle na nÓg's  Annual General Meeting (AGM) during the month of October.  Over 150 young people from all around the County attended the AGM and were given the opportunity to complete the online survey at the event.

Clare CYPSC would like to acknowledge Extertis Supply Chain Management, Raheen Industrial Estate, Limerick for supplying the tablets for the road show events. Clare CYPSC would also like to thank Mr. Brian McManus  of Clare Youth Service for giving CYPSC a platform at the AGM.

The next stage of the road show is to visit local post primary schools with Saint Caimins Secondary school in Shannon being the first school to be visited. The feedback from all of the consultation events will used to inform the Clare CYPSC three year plan which is in development.
