The Dublin City South CYPSC - Health & Wellbeing held a 1/2 day seminar to inform and engage with local services to improve health & wellbeing of young people on October 18 2018. The Seminar was an interagency themed event for local service providers to present and inform services on policy, delivery and initiatives that are ongoing in our area in support of Mental Health supports for children and Young People. Over 65 delegates attended the 1/2 day in the F2 Centre and listened to a range of information about What's Happening in Dublin South City. The Minister for Health, for Older Persons & Mental Health Jim Daly opened the event and welcomed the Dublin CIty South CYPSC /subgroups initative of hosting the Seminar. The opening was closely followed by Young People from Dublin City Comhairle na nÓg, Sam & Callum who showcased the work that the 2017 /18 Comhairle undertook to highlight Youth Mental Health which included their Poster Campaign; Positivity Box and September Seminar that was lauched by the Ombudsman for Children, Dr Niall Muldoon. - Promote positive mental wellbeing amongst young people and address their needs.
- Increase community awareness about youth mental health and decreasing the stigma associated with mental health.
